Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty is calling on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to stop Alberta's plans to let patients pay for faster access to some medical procedures.
McGuinty says Harper told all the premiers last week to stay within the Canada Health Act and so should take action against Alberta.
He says the ball is clearly in the prime minister's court.
But federal Health Minister Tony Clement yesterday refused to pass judgment on Alberta's plan, and said many Canadians already pay out of pocket to get faster care.
