Jobs of the future in budget
OTTAWA–The federal government will unveil a new economic agenda for Canada aimed at getting the country's 1.5 million unemployed back to work, with billions of dollars in investments to spur creation of cutting-edge jobs in the knowledge-based economy.

_snip-

Despite unprecedented pump-priming by Harper's government, nearly 300,000 jobs have disappeared since the recession hit in late 2008 and experts say many of those jobs, particularly in manufacturing, will not come back. So the need to encourage Canadians to harness education and technology to come up with innovative 21st century products – the BlackBerry being a prime example – has never been greater.

Well, we'll see if this is Harp's intent, or just a columnist's version of it. Harper doesn't believe there IS a future, so I suspect he's just trying to steal Iggy's direction.
