Ah, the Canadian identity. Was there ever a nation more obsessed with their identity than us?
So here are my questions. What does it mean to be Canadian? What things are quintessentially Canadian?

...that was a radio jingle I used to hear growing up in Canada back in the 1940's and 50's. That was a long time ago for me, eh.

| 11. Wow I never made that association to other letters. My mind |

is boggled but I have an answer, Zed is special therefore the distinction. And it's special because we say so. Got that. You wanna fight? Just remember the War of 1812!!!!!!

make love in a canoe. Or check out Fire and Ice by Douglas Adams of Environics. I highly recommend this book to those who have always defined a Canadian as someone who is not an American. He basically says that based on our social values Canadian society is very different than that found in the Excited States. Take the survey here: < http://fireandice.environics.net/surveys/fireandice/main/fireandice.asp?surveyID=1>

He's been here in the states with me for just over 4 years, and has fit in quite nicely.
But every once in awhile, I have to giggle, because he'll forget, and either slip in a "zed" somewhere while speaking (and people look at him funny), or he'll order a rye and Coke at a bar.
People down here don't know what rye is. You have to ask them for whiskey, or they think you've grown 2 heads.

We all say Zed. We just snicker quietly when you say Zee. BTW my friend in high school drove a Zed 28 not a Zee 28.
