and move to the new economy...and become a 'have' province again.
There's only 2 of us right now, and we need you back.

Alberta (my home province) is in a good place right now, and that's where you have to begin.

| 4. Actually finance health care |
|
All of Campbell's yapping about Ottawa paying for Pharmacare when he has $1 billion to fund it for his province is kind of idiotic to say the least.

| 5. Hmmm, a billion extra dollars usually means they want to call an... |

election. I might be a wee bit cynical but when prov governments actually ask us for our view it means they want to know how to buy us off in an election with promises they don't fulfill.

Our current government is Liberal. But this is BC. Nothing whackier than our provincial politics.

The so-called "Liberals" are indeed the old Socreds, they don't even hide it anymore.
We don't have much choice here, either the NDP party of former Clark, nothing has really changed there or the right-wing faux Liberals. I am really disappointed that the NDP, even under a new leader, has done nothing to distance itself from the Clark policies and practices.
I would give anything for a real left party, one that would have a credible chance of winning.

Our wretched excuse for a premier, John (Harris-wannabe) Hamm, has been whining up a storm lately about how the feds are obliged to give him more money to solve all his problems. Unluckily for him, you can't buy your way out of being a pernicious tight-arsed, ignorant, racist booby.

Since they got this billion by privatizing healthcare services and downsizing the public service. I heard a radio report the other day that the new privatized housekeeping services don't change the sheets after every patient that comes through emergency. I'm not kidding.:puke:
