Anyone in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire or that area?

I'm sort of flirting with the idea of traveling to Scotland, to see the places my ancestors came from--Jedburgh, Roxburghshire and Lanarkshire. No plans even close to finalization, and it seemed like a good idea to speak with someone in that area. I've been looking at some tours online, and only found a couple that include Jedburgh Abbey. Most are more aimed at Edinburgh or the Highlands. So, I'm wondering if there are group tours that would take me to that area.

I'll probably be traveling alone. And, honestly, I tried driving on the "wrong" side of the road while in Africa, and I just don't think I should be driving alone in a place that challenges my driving skills so :) So, I'm looking at group/guided tours.

Also, it would just be cool to meet a DUer or two who lives in the part of the world from which my ancestors came. I've been doing genealogical work and have pretty detailed info showing my ancestors came from Jedburgh.

So, I just wondered whether there are any DUers in that area, or who know the area.
