Arrest over airport chemical find

A man has been arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft after a bag containing leaking chemicals was found in luggage at Manchester Airport.

Police were called to terminal two on Monday morning when a strong smell was reported coming from a bag about to be loaded onto an aircraft.

The bag was removed and found to contain two bottles of a chemical, which had leaked.

Police are also searching a property in Cheetham Hill in Manchester.

2. When first reported

as ticker news on BBC the reason was unknown. It was subsequently updated. The guy was an idiot carrying chemicals in that way.

Aside from that this is a State & Country Forum and as such most items tend to be general interest.
