If I read once more about the British football team tying with the USA I will scream.

I know this isn't really important, but I needed to get it off my chest.

On reflection, I think I should clarify. That dog of a performance on Saturday had nothing to do with the Scots, Welsh or Irish and I'm sure they'd rather eat their own feet than be associated with it. It was a purely English disaster and we demand full recognition for it.

I guess, by the same token, they might feel they're entitled to 50 teams.

Mind you, I'm not sure there are 550 soccer players in the US ...

... I'm not too sure that there are 11 footballers in England.

Still, living here in Germany i find that the mistake is usually the other way round. They call everybody from Great Britain "Engländer", regardless of their actual nationality. Oh, and I'd like to thank Frank, Ashley, Robert and the lads for making my workday today such fun.
