1. I'm finding it rather difficult to raise a smile.

Watching the game on the Reeperbahn was one of the more negative experiences of my life. Ho hum. Is there any sport where we still lead the world? Or maybe we should just invent some more.

2. We won the world 20-20 cricket competition a couple of months ago

and we've just beaten the Aussies in a 50 over tournament. Meanwhile, a Brit won the Formula One championship each of the last 2 years, and thos 2 are first and second in the standings so far this year.
