To little too late...
STOCKHOLM, Sweden A plane carrying equipment to rebuild mobile phone networks in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans took off from Sweden today.
The shipment includes three complete G-S-M networks donated by Swedish telecom giant L-M Ericsson, that will help offset "the total lack of working telecommunications" in the New Orleans region.
The plane was originally scheduled to take off on September fourth with two portable water-purification plants, but was delayed because U-S authorities could not immediately receive it.
The C-130 transport plane will land to refuel in Canada before arriving in Little Rock, Arkansas, tomorrow.
