Check out uselectionatlas.org. Right after the election, Bush was listed as having 51.03% to Kerry's 47.99%. Then it was Bush 50.84 to Kerry's 48.19. Now it's Bush 50.75 to Kerry's 48.27. So Bush's lead is now down to 2.48% of the popular vote. Hardly a mandate I would say!

I guess those absentee and overseas votes are going overwhelmingly for Kerry.

votes went. It would be a huge statement about * not really having a mandate at all if we could only publicize that the military (at least those on the ground, not the brass) did not vote for *. I'm practically certain they didn't, otherwise the Pillsbury Roveboy would have insisted that news be shouted from the highest mountaintop and crowed about on every faux media channel.

Do you realize that Kerry's vote total outside the 11 states of the confederacy now exceeds Bush's by 2 million? If you add into the confederacy 11 Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Indiana, in you get 14 states that produced over a six million Bush advantage. That means that in 36 states plus the district, Kerry won the popular vote by 3 million.

What's this show? Those southern and rural folks really, really like Bush, but the rest of us don't cotton to him all that much.

Kentucky had representation in the Confederate congress and most of the tribes in the Indian Territory (Oklahoma) joined the Confederacy too, but what would be the justification for lumping Indiana under the Starry Cross? Indiana was a loyal northern state.

Better to add Missouri if you need another Confederate state as they also had representatives in the congress in Richmond.

This seems to be just the results you'd expect if widespread vote manipulation on a small, hardly noticable scale had taken place over a large proportion of the precincts. Let's say this is true, and the perps planned for possible exposure of the scheme by making sure cover stories were available for some subset of these precincts...perfectly logical explanations, prepared for a number of these "modified" precincts, that explains why the vote count was wrong. If people start suspecting, pop out these explanations for a few of the precincts, and restore the correct results. Now you can say, "see, it was an honest mistake, but it doesn't change the election...no need to spend all that money to continue investigating!"

If the vote advantage you got from all those fixed precincts is big enough, you can afford to lose a few to provide cover for the rest.

I would have put this on breaking news -but I do not have enough posts.
What I would really like would be a copy of the original National exit poll that predicted a lead to Kerry in the popular vote. SOMEBODY MUST HAVE DOWNLOADED those files that were on CNN all evening but have now vanished into thin air.
(Look for update times typically 7 pm).

If you have any other original exit polls, President or Senator, I will add them. I will be improving the site soon and adding an email for this. or you can reply here. The object is to publish the exit polls that have vanished into thin air! The fact of having source docs gives more weight to the figures. By the way the full polls also give detail about how voters voted within different regions of a state –which can help analysis.

I can only see 2 possible explanations:
1/ That 44 people out of 2505 respondents all told the truth as to who they voted for Senator, but then lied about who they voted for president. This needs a pattern of respondents all lying in the same way – otherwise the lies would tend to cancel each other out and the overall effect would be negligible.
2/ That 36,500 (1.8%) of votes were switched from Kerry to Bush in Colorado in order to help build up a popular vote mandate for Bush.

The fact that similar patterns are reported in many states makes me lean to the second theory. –if only we had a full list of documented exit polls.
