As said by some guy they interviewed on CNN. If any state stays open past its projected closing time, generally, that is good for the Kerry camp.

Because we know it's illegal for judges to correctly interpret the law that polls that open late stay OPEN late!!! People in line when the polls close get to vote PERIOD!!! But John Ashcroft thinks it's all illegal and CRIES when his voter suppression tactics are squashed by THE LAW!!!!

In all states. From what I can tell, there is no qualifier on that - if it goes into second or third shifts, too damn bad.
I wouldn't want to be the one to tell a bunch of people who've been in line for 4 hours in the rain that "the polls are closed now - go home".
