The last four years didn't happen.

We didn't go to war under false pretenses.

Our president didn't use the greatest tragedy ever to hit this country as a political tool to justify said war and wage a campaign based on fear.

The opposition doesn't think that God is on their side.

Gay marriage was not gratuitously used as a wedge issue.

We do not have fundamentally opposing views on "values" in this country.

We aren't facing four more years of economic and foreign policy misadventures.

Just shut up and heal.

it's proper advice.
It's time to repair, examine the mistakes, and reshape the party, and the way we campaign.

It's not "the economy stupid" anymore. It's the party, stupid. Terrible campaign, wrong candidate, period. Plenty said it on this board long ago, and we were discouraged for not being united or supportive. Well, lemmings do what lemmings do best.

Those of us who have avoided or survived the fall off the cliff need to examine why we lost, stop blaming others, and fix the mistakes.
