..and what good does being disrespectful do? They've got their chimp in chief, and Kerry has been nothing but gracious about the matter. It really makes me sick that Shrub's followers need to stoop so low on a constant basis. I pray for a miracle that Shrub will, maybe at Laura's, or his daughters' urging, pull a scrap of decency out of his ass and ask the crowd to behave.

|
he's going to try to fix the election problems, hopefully. that's about it.
there's no "secret plan", there's nothing up his sleeve, he's not "working behind the scenes"...
Even if he were, consider this.
Even if there was this master plan, what's the absolutely best thing it could do? I'd say it could result in an impeachment, that would be the absolute best thing to hope for.
Still, that would not put him in office, it would only put the next republican in line in office, and nothing would change.
The next best thing to hope for would be election reform and a real election in 06 or 08. that would be great. but to me that doesn't amount to a secret plan or something up his sleeve. It's something that he should be RESPONSIBLE for doing, or at least trying to do.
so whatever this "up his sleeve thing" is that people keep talking about... it aint there.

for him it's not about being "put in office", but about justice, and exposing these criminals for what they are. Maybe, just maybe, he's less shallow and self-serving than you seem to think he is, and he cares about integrity more than being in the frigging office. Maybe, just maybe, he cares about his COUNTRY, and is doing something to help save it from these assholes.
Is it possible that you don't know everything? I'm open to any and all possibilities, myself, and I know I don't know everything.

all I said is that there is no way to undo what has been done now. i'm sure he does care about this country very much. I'm just saying that there is little he can do now. It's up to us, the people.

saying he has something up his sleeve and he doesn't want to be seen as a sore loser
He doesn't have anything up his sleeve. He's going to try to push election reform.
enough of the sore loser fear. it's over. he got more votes, but he didn't take any steps to even try to get all the votes counted.
if the dems are going to get anything done in the next 2-4 years, it's not going to be out of fear of being a sore loser, or fear of being chastised by the right. it's going to be out of doing the right thing without fear of the repercussions.

| 44. I agree that there is probably nothing "up his sleeve" more than |
|
what he's already said.
He's probably in a good mood because in DC, a town that voted 90% Kerry, he was probably getting a few shout outs and nice words thrown his way.
I hope he did, and I hope it annoyed the shit out of the Repubs.

"How he can hold it together?" I truly believe he's a very 'old soul' (in comparison to the infantile soul of Shrub). I would never have been able to even show up. Gotta give him credit. Where's Teresa though? She's so much more opinionated. I'll bet she refused to go.

I look forward to the day that Presidential elections are actual debates between differing points of view and not a chance for voters to pick who's more Southern.
