Jeff G. saying "Not nearly as many protesters as there were in 2000" and Woolfie saying that this has never been seen before... re: the yelling back and forth btw. the protesters and the * supporters across the street. THen bla, bla, bla about how many more on the Ave. just LOVE this Prez. Geeeeeez.

pointing out that it takes courage and determination to come to protest on a day like today, especially as the media are condescending in general to protesters, who don't get the respect they sometimes deserve.

And blah blah blah of course democracy that Bush wants to protect has to allow protest. Something like that.

Jennings said, "Oh, I hope if I sound condescending to the protesters, you'll let me know!" Smiley: "Oh, no, Peter, never you."

I have to admit I'm surprised by how evenhanded Jennings is. Because sometimes he sure isn't.
