29. The "announcers"...

They had "announcers" every few blocks... they sucked terribly! They were to give running commentary on the parade, civilian and military info.

Before the parade began, the announcers were highly annoying, to attendees and cops alike. They were conducting "presidential trivia" over the loudspeakers. No kidding, one of the early questions was, "Who is the only president to not be elected into office?" To which a majority of the crowd immediately shouted, "BUSH!" This was met with a wry chuckle from the announcer.

Anyhow, as the motorcade continued down Pennsylvania Ave., he was trying to amp the crowd. "They're three blocks away, and I want THIS BLOCK to be the loudest cheering section!" I'm hopeful, from where I stood, that we were the loudest jeering section. The repubs nearby were completely drowned out; their pitiful crys were indescirnible.

and while the stormtroopers took their positions along the street, DC police announced via bullhorn something along the lines of: "We have established this police line.
