....Anymore than I liked it when they booed Trent Lott at Paul Wellstones, memorial service. That little unfortunate display helped deprive the Democrats a much needed Senate seat.
Unfortunately, asshole behavior knows no political boundary.

Coleman beating Mondale can't be written off to that. Mondale was too far ahead of Coleman. Normy was a setup. In fact, a call was placed from Cheney to Tim Pawlenty asking him to stand aside and run for Guv instead, so Norm could run for Senate. Mix in a highly partisan Secretary of State, some Diebold optiscan machines, et voila!
But,hey, if booing works to screw up winning elections, let's let them boo the crap out of Democratic candidates in the future and see what happens.

but the point was, that it is somewhat hypocritical to ignore bad behavior from one's own side and then criticize the other for doing the same.

of them were civil...and that Bush had the decency to act like a gentleman. After all in front of his wife, kids, and supporters, he would look pretty lame if he did not step up and ask people not to be rude. Maybe that's giving him too much credit, but really, what's the point in booing Kerry now? They've got their Chimperor in Chief, the election was over on 11/2 for THEM.
Why not just grow up?

| 21. My President being Booed? WTF |
|
When I hear of Republicans booing John Kerry, my Senator and my President I take it personal. I feel like they are booing me, I mean Kerry stands for what I stand for. We share the same vision for a better, safer, strong, more secure America thats less dependent on foreign oil.
What do they have to boo us about? Is it that our President didn't lie to take us into a war and now we have no exit strategy. Are they booing him because while our brothers and sister and sons and daughters are in Iraq right now being killed that our President isn't sitting in a dining hall right now dancing, while he lays the burden of a 40 million dollar inauguration on the middle class. Or maybe they're booing my President because they know hes right; they know were all right and they're..... WRONG
John Kerry is my President, and I don't appreciate the Hitlers of the future booing him because of his visions for a progressive America.

| 32. I think they mocked him in part because of what he DID do yesterday |
|
Part because of the election, but part because he, along with Public Enemy #1 Boxer, didn't vote for Condi. I bet that was part of the boo.
I couldn't believe it. My Repub UPS driver looked over my shoulder as I was looking at Boxer photos (trying to put together wallpaper) and with just once glance he knew who it was and what she had done. He knew about Condi, but not about the elector vote. He didn't know about Kerry's vote with Boxer, but when I told him he said "The two most liberal Senators in Congress." Yeah, like that's supposed to be an insult or something?
He's not, actually. There are a few more liberal than him. Boxer, I dunno. But I think both are becoming public enemys for the Repubs. Cool beans. Keep it up you two.
