Counterpoint to Fox News Needed

Democrats need a television news outlet for their views. We need a major channel masquerading as part of the so-called "mainstream media," a la Fox News. I wish that a wealthy Democrat or group of Democrats would create or purchase a news channel that could serve as a counterpoint to Fox. That channel has been successfully dragging the political discussion in this country inexorably to the right for years now. Something is needed to give the public a means of hearing the truth on issues of electoral fraud, alternative energy, the environment, the War in Iraq, homeland security, etc. Air American is useful, but more is required. If only George Soros and/or other wealthy Dems would organize a consortium to put up a major broadcast/cable news outlet to counterbalance the conservatives and thereby give this country a chance of having some really "fair and balanced" news.

3. Non-partisan progressive outlet

Another Web site is good, but we also need a broadcast and/or cable channel that invariably fakes up the middle but always runs left, the mirror-image of Fox. It will require a ton of money to pull off something like that.
