He had Conason on with him...kept repeating that we needed to be "responsible" about this....Conason said that Ohio needed to be looked into.....

on edit: I thought I heard Franken at the very beginning of the show say something about putting the "fraud" issue to bed .."until some other Air America host brings it up again..." cheap shot at Randi? Did anybody else hear that?

Franken is the ONLY one on AAR who is being dismissive of this and not saying that the votes all need to be recounted and that the machines need to be looked into.
I can see being responsible but not supporting taking a serious look at these voting machines and the anomalies accompanying them is irresponsible as far as I'm concerned.

| 6. At the start of his show Al referred to 'the blogosphere, a nice place to |
|
visit but you wouldn't want to live there...'
He's sensationalizing and almost mocking the effort by continuing to refer to it as 'Stolen Election!' Sounds like a National Enquirer headline.
Get off the 'stolen' frame, Al - we're talking about election fraud, which includes many sub-sets of interest.
Perhaps he's just running interference, trying to keep the right wing machine quiet, who knows.

| 7. Why do people find this so hard to believe? |
|
I thought of this the moment I heard them give it to Bush?
As if such a thing would NEVER be done by the Republicans...yes they are so upstanding.
I'm sure that, left to most, Watergate would never have been exposed.

did anyone else notice that it was almost like Al lost his spirir? It was almost overnight, he just started talking with no soul or fight anymore. Sure he says the right words, "keep fighting, don't stop, etc..." but without any flare. He is either completely depressed, keeping quiet because someone is making him, or doing it as a strategy for something that may happen in the near future...

| 9. There's no strategy -- the ONLY strategy is |
|
right here, at DU and other places in cyberspace and around the country. No "Dem" strategy from our leaders.
Oh, yes, Kerry lawyers did go to Ohio to "fact check." Their comments about it, though, made it appear that their interest was far more in smoothing things over and providing a veneer of respectability to what happened in Ohio than doing anything about it. IOW: they're biased against the very thought of fraud, just as the mainstream media is. Let's protect the "official story" at all costs.

I totally agree with this view.
All the folks here clutching to the hope that something is brewing behind the scenes are going to be hit hard as our time goes down the drain and the electoral college certification is upon us.

| 10. I think he/they are scared |
|
I think people at the top now know EXACTLY what happened and are scared. Poke around on Zogby.com for a few minutes. Everything is wink-wink, nudge-nudge. I suspected something strange when James Carville suddenly threw in the towel on election night on live TV.
No one wants to come out and say what they believe. But isn't that how everything got started in Nazi Germany? Have you seen the news? Ashcroft says judges should roll over and do the president's bidding because of the war on terror. Frist says the filibustering of presidential Supreme Court nominees must end. The CIA agent who wrote "Imperial Hubris" just quit. AP reports:
"Scheuer was highly critical of the Sept. 11 Commission's "refusal" to point fingers at senior government officials whose actions contributed to the <9/11> attacks. Rather than changing the structure of government, as Congress is considering, he said a signal must be sent that people will be held accountable for their actions. 'No one seems to be capable or inclined to find anyone responsible for 9/11,' he said."
I'm hoping a large group of big namers with big-time cred will unite and come out together with evidence.

I have lost so much respect for Franken after the election. I agree with everything you guys have said. I can't believe how much he has changed.
He does want to run for senate in Minn, doesn't he? That's probably why he is acting the way he is now.

Look at what has happened SINCE the election...
Bob Kerrey comes out with this 'oath' they took NOT to discuss the 9/11 findings before the election.
Fallujah invasion.
CIA-who previously criticized the war on terror- guy resigns.
Wonder if Kerry knew some of this stuff before hand and knew that it would come out very shortly-if not immediately- after the election.? Wonder if Kerry decided to quietly let the fraud investigation go on while W hung himself in the meantime.
One can hope...that the media is waiting for another shoe to drop and not call too much atttention just yet

They all get sucked into it after awhile.
I haven't seen or heard him for ages but was discussing him with a friend who watches him on TV. She says that his view of the media is that they're not really covering anything up or refusing to cover a story but are totally led by their desire for sensationalism which leads to increased ratings.
She believes that view. (on edit--She is very intelligent but does not have access to the internet. She gives me the vibe from TV, I give her the vibe from the net. She thinks a lot of what I say is radical and can hardly listen. I remember a lot of my heros that fell hard by the wayside as I got educated here. They put on a good show on TV. F*ckers.)
Franken should, and does, know better.
My respect for him is gone.

The day after the election (Wednesday the 3rd) that it was a stolen election. He said we all know it. We must be sneaky in how we PROVE IT!

is dismissive and have stopped listening to him, as I wonder whose side he is on.
Something really creepy is happening in our country. I posted an article about journalists being thrown in jail for refusing to reveal their sources. When W was governor of Tx he had protesters arrested, saying things had changed. Did ANYONE see that tank story in LA in any mass media? I didn't.
