I hate it when they say, "oh nothing happened on a grand scale"

He first said Kerry was gonna win the election then Bush then Kerry again. in a span of 4 months. 1st thing is a legitimate pollster needs to keep his da%^ mouth shut about whos gonna win. After all he's not supposed to have a dog in the race, he's supposed to accurately report what other people are thinking

He also called for an investigation into both the polling and the voting. I think he was overall pretty squarely on the side of the recounters given that he's a man with a tremendous investment in the prestige of his organization.

| 4. I agree, but why does he have to qualify it and say that |
|
there was nothing on a grand scale. We may not know if it is true. Conversely, he doesn't know it's false.

Don't worry about it, he doesn't know any more than the rest of us.

When he said, "I just got it wrong," I was rather disappointed.
But towards the end, he was calling for the pollsters to release all their data, and said the process should be as transparent as possible.
What I found most interesting was his comment that you can't dismiss the number of people who feel disenfranchised, because their numbers are in the millions.

"professionalism"--hey, the man DOES have a reputation/business to protect.
He DID say an investigation into BOTH the exit polls AND the election was necessary.

Hi all,
I concur completely: he left plenty of wiggle room in his statement. I have a funny feeling we haven't heard the last of this issue from Mr. Zogby. :)

| 7. Question about New Hampsire Recount??? |
|
The follow up to Zogby was a story about the NH recount saying that the recount was with .001% of the original vote and that this applied to OPTICAL SCAN devices.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Wasn't it in NH where something got "flipped" - like an office was flipped from republican to democrat? Also, Zogby was not that negative to our cause - he definitely gave credibility to the recounts. He also said he was only wrong on two states - my question is were those states Ohio and Florida? That may have been what he meant when he said "not on a large scale" - implying that where he was supposedly "wrong" is where we should look.

It's total sell-out bullshit IMO, to soft cell this serious issue because you have a business. I'm sorry, I know some people here have expressed they understand this, but I don't. When we are in this much trouble as a country, and our soldiers are dying and more are certain to die, this is purely selfish.
I'm angry to "take what we can get" AGAIN. I want TRUTH AND FACTS, AND ALL ELSE BE DAMNED.
Yeah, I know I'm mad... can't help it, really.
I hope Bev Harris can blow the roof top off this crap tonight on CNN with Aaron Brown. I'm lighting a candle, I feel so sad.

| 17. My vote's for Zogby. I say he's on our side. |
|
If he had said, "no, those exit polls were wrong, my exit polls were right" he would be just a partisan sore loser. He'll accept, for now, that he was wrong. He made no "extreme" statement, which is good because he's so respected, he didn't alienate anyone, and he backed us up on everything we really want.
He's keeping his credibility, and he's extending it to us.
