OK, so the Ohio Dem Party seems more willing than Kerry

Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 12:02 PM by rabid_nerd
so how about the Kerry Electors in Ohio?
If the Kerry Electors - who ARE the actual candidates on the ballot in Ohio, NOT KERRY, joined the recount request - EVEN ONE OF THEM, then you could make a case, no?
ON EDIT::
RE-STATING::
The losing Kerry electors, as candidates, should also be able to file for a recount. Independently from the party and the presidential candidate.
As the losing candidate(s) with the close margin, they should be able to successfully argue where Cobb and Badnarik could not that not recounting by Dec. 2 could cause irreperable harm.
ONLY ONE elector, since they are candidates joint and severally, should be required for a lawsuit.
Has anyone asked them?

3. Who knows what Kerry is doing or thinking.

But if this issue doesn't have his backing somewhere, or the support or votes of the electors, or of the Dem party- we are on our own.

2. I'm fine with it staying out of the national media, myself.

Let it stay in the local media where the right-wing whackos are less likely to spin it. Dems just have practically no influence whatsoever within the national media (which is owned by the multi-national corporate cartel ever since Clinton - under presure from big media and the majority Repug Congress, with the support of too many naive Democratic Congressfolks - signed in the 1996 media deregulation bill).
For now.
But once the investigations are satisfactorly done, the results need to be in big media and their spin needs to be fought.
