You forget something very important that my team is in the same division as yours and is in first place, have you ever thought that I want the Yankees to lose because they will fall a game or half game back of the ORioles. Its only a game jeez, some of us dont like the Yankees and yes admittingly take joy when they dont do well because after all the Yankees struggliny gives my team a chance to expand their lead.

I've always said the Yankees wouldn't stay in the cellar long.
You've got to stop taking things so seriously.

| 10. When The Yankees Win The Yankee Hating Threads Disappear |
|
I haven't seen a single new Yankee hating thread in the last two weeks, and this board was deftly silent after last night's win. The Yankees get beat today, and PRESTO! a brand new Yankee hating thread appears.
When the Yankees lose, this forum fills up with Yankee hating threads almost immediately. Have you seen one new thread from me during this 16-3 streak? No.
Yet, I'm the one who take things too "seriously".

It's NOT fun when the Yankees win. See?
Feel free to post a Go Yanks thread when they're whuppin' up on somebody. There are plenty of Yankee fans on this board, I'm sure you won't lack for company.

And I will say whatever I want to that's within the rules. I don't call people an "ass" like matcom just called me. See below. My posts are within the rules, and I will defend my team whenever they are attacked.
I'm not like the Kerry campaign. I will stand up for myself when I get attacked.

Read my post. All that I did was make note that there were no DU posts last night, but there's one when the Yankees lose. I just made a comment. That's all. I didn't demand that no one makes posts.
BTW, I didn't know that you are the self-appointed lord of DU posts now.

but I want you guys to win so we can gain that game back to be 4.5 ahead, well depending on what Hayden Penn does today. Its stragety pure and simple, not the Massive Yankee Hating Conspriacy, imagine that I want the Yankees to lose so my team can gain back in the standings, I admit it I hate the Yankees but I dont hate Yankee fans as a whole, and hell to be honest, I dont even hate the players themselves, I find Jeter and Williams to be classy guys. Now I hate the team but I dont see anything wrong with that.

It's a rivalry. It's not personal against Yankee fans. I'm not sure that feeling is always mutual, however.
I think it's amazing the O's are doing so well. You have quite a few players on the DL, if I remember correctly.

which sucks but Gil plays a nice catcher, we're gonna see how Hayden Penn is today, and Jeff Florentino is great in center.

| 12. Kleeb, You Post More Yankee Hating Threads Than Anyone Here |
|
Yet, you claim that other people are taking things too seriously? You live and die on every single game. Let me clue you in. The Yankees used up their bullpen for the past four games. They needed a rest. Today's game is meaningless, as well as tomorrow's game. The Yanks head to KC while your Orioles and Red Sox go at it.
If the Yanks beat KC, their position in the standings will improve regardless of the outcome between the Sox and the Orioles. Better to save up for KC than to go all out over this game.

I get happy when they lose yeah because maybe we're in the same division. I amt not going "all out" over the game, yeah I want the Yanks to lose because it would help a little in the standings, as I said earlier, if the Sox had been the one entering the series in second place, I would want the Yankees to do good, its stragety to me, not hatred.

|
Slamming the Sox. Remember, they're in the same division, and if you don't beat them, we may be able to take over first. The Yankees are not the only team in AL East. If the Sox beat you next week, then your hold on the division will be severely weakened. Thus, I expect to see a bunch of threads from you next week bashing the Sox.

all week really. I havent really been posting that much for the past few weeks period overall. I can slam the red sox too, I may prefer them to the Yankees but that doesnt mean I am incapable of slammming them because believe me if it comes down to them fighting us for the division, I will be slamming them.

| 22. Think the Yanks can get 16 runs in the bottom of the 9th? |
|
:D
This is the most runs the Sox have ever scored against the Yankees. Anf the largest margin of victroy against the Yanks. It's one hit short of the all-time Sox record.
But tomorrow's another game and we have Wells going against Mussina. Yuck!

and Mussina is better than Wells now as he was then. I want Mussina to lose so if Bruce Chen pitches great tommorow, I can brag that he has a better record and probalby ERA than Mussina. Hes a pleasant surprise and Bedard is proving to been a wise choice to keep, since hes been incredible, gonna miss him though hes gonna be on the DL.

I have to admit I didn't think it was going to be Clement that was going to be the rock on this staff. I still hope we ditch the David Wells experiment and I personally would love to add Clemens (pipe dream I know)... so going into the stretch we'd have Clemens, Schilling, Clement, Miller and Arroyo in our rotation with Wakefield as our capable backup/alternate starter.
Now if we can just keep hitting and turn the pitching around...
