...and the BCS coming up, I am disappointed in the lack of interest in these games. Kind of like going to a baseball, soccer, with a little nfl thrown in kind of forum. Just to put this out there in the hopes it will generate a little more interest, the NC game will be the most watched game in the BCS. Maybe a little biased(yes I am) the second most watched game of interest will be OSU vs Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. TCU will garner their share of interest too. Sorry if I offend anyone with college football talk, but it's my main point of interest right now. No offense to anyone or their favorite sport intended. Thanks. quickesst

is that Nebraska and Washington are playing each other again...
Boise St vs...Utah? For damn sakes, why not throw Boise at an LSU, or an upper power from another BCS conference. If the BCS homers think Boise is a fraud, have one of the BCS school powers stomp on them(if they can).
And again, OU plays the weakest BCS eligible team...hopefully OU will falter again like it did against Boise, and West Virginia....
I think TCU vs. Wisconsin will be interesting. Being an avid OU hater, I've seen TCU in some fights with the Sooners...I hope the Badgers don't overlook TCU, although from the highlights of the Wis/Ohio St game I watched, Wis looked extremely strong, especially on the ground(almost Nebraska 90's style).

and west coast people. Honestly, if I am right most of us don't have the passion that the other areas have for college football. I also thinks the BCS is a downer. There used to be a magic that all the games were played on New Years day. Now, to me it seems to be dragged out. At least there is not quite the controversy as in past years over the championship opponents but I think many on this forum would like to see a playoff.

Frankly, who cares? Personally, I don't feel like discussing lightweights such as the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl or the MAACO Bowl. While the BCS bowls are all a good 3 weeks or more away..give it a chance.
Btw, I believe the second most watched game of interest is the Rose Bowl, not the Sugar. For there has always been the debate as to whether on not TCU deserves a BCS bowl due to their weak SoS.

| 12. And that, IMHO, is one of the big problems with NCAA football |
|
There is way too long of a gap between the end of the regular season and the bowl games. The entire dynamics of a team can change in that time. This is especially true with teams like those in the Big 10 that end even sooner. They have to wait 5-6 weeks between competitions which is more than enough time to lose their sharpness.

Perhaps this forum is an actual sports forum, rather than the soap opera of constant rehashing that now wastes the days of too many who call themselves sports fans.

...and I accept the input, well, except OSU kicking Arkansas ass, but, I for one, would rather have a playoff system put in place rather than the current BCS system. As far as putting Boise State up against a "powerhouse" like LSU, don't forget how our game turned out. That said, I don't think Boise State would have a chance against an SEC team with the acception of Vanderbilt, and this year possibly Ole Miss. I'll try to be patient and wait for the games to get close enough to generate some interest. Again, sorry if I offended anyone, and hope the discussion gets interesting the closer the games get. Thanks for the input everyone. quickesst
