I was watching the cardinal game on Sunday and noticed very few African Americans in the stands. To Cardinal fans is that how it always is? I grew up a cardinal fan but in retrospect I have learned about the tremendous problems with race that St.Louis has had. My Dad wasn't allowed to swim in the public pools in the 30's(he was asian). This was also the city that was the meanest to Jackie Robinson.

Cardinal fans are of every color...and they are all red. The ball games always attract a very diverse crowd.

but the same could be said of a lot of ball parks across the country. Remember, Anyone can buy a ticket to a ballgame. If there are not any African Americans in the stands, it's not because of racism.
I am concerned that African American youth are turning away from baseball. Buck O'Neil has become very concerned with this also, the decline of baseball in urban environments.
