Once the Giants basically ran out of DB's the just threw the house at Dallas and Jason Garret (who had already completely abandoned the run) didn't know to keep an extra blocker in and shorten the routes. Romo was clearly not ready for this and he panicked, and then lost it.

What the hell was with the throwing it into the endzone on 3 and 20???

Other notes- Rivers is about done in SD. LT has twice walked away from him on the bench this year, Norv Turner and Rivers actually exchanged words a few weeks ago even after Rivers lead a game tying drive at the end of the game, Turner clearly told Rivers to "settle down" when they were trying to figure out what to do on a Indy penalty yesterday, and finally Rivers got into a shouting match with a fan behind the bench. Don't be surprised to see him not around next year. They can get a lot for him too....if no one finds out how much of a hothead and pain in the ass to deal with that he is.

It was noted that the Cowpies started Marion Barber over Julius Jones, looking for a spark. And Barber did have some good runs in the first half. But the formula that was so successful for the 'Pies during the season was Jones to loosen up the defense early, then Barber to finish 'em off late. Barber may have not been conditioned to play the full game.

Clearly the 'Pies were outcoached badly. Sweet.

Clearly, the Giants were prepared to play 60 minutes of football. The Cowboys were not.

what's missing in the discussion is how poorly the Cowboys' O-line played in the 2nd half and how much penetration the Giants were able to get despite being on the field almost the entire first half. I don't know that it was Barber who wore down as much as it was suddenly more difficult for him to even get to the line of scrimmage. He's as good at breaking tackles as any back I've ever seen, but even he needs a full head of steam before he can knock someone backwards.

Yes, even Tom Brady who will just fall to the ground if a defender gets even within 2 yards of him. Of course, this year, no one gets near him which is a credit to his O-line more than anything. Just sayin..

Go back to the Colts, Eagles, Ravens and Giants games they played this year. Brady got smacked more than a few times and never got off his game. Guys like Palmer, Peyton Manning, Favre and McNabb also react that way. Romo gets happy feet if he gets hit hard a few times and turns into a different player. Eli Manning had this problem last year, he started shying away when the pressure came and making stupid mistakes. Tony has to man up if ever wants win something.
