What happened in playoffs: The Vikings cruised past Arizona in the divisional round before losing to the surprising Falcons. So unexpected was Atlanta's victory that the Miami Herald announced "Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings" across the top of an early edition of its Sunday paper.

5. Sorry but that was a horrifically played game

the weather clearly had an effect-no one wanted to hit the ground or get off their feet. I understand that having played on some frozen fields when I was in the Army (ever footprint freezes as is pointy parts and all). Favre had three WTF throws including the one that cost them the game.

6. I think the Giants were more ready for the cold than the Packers were.

Best example was Manning vs. Favre. Brett had a coverup for his head, neck, and lower face. He even had a heating packet that he stuck in front of his mouth/nose to stay warm.

Manning didn't wear anything on his neck or face, wore a glove on his non-throwing hand, and threw a great game. Gotta give him props. Plus it seemed like a lot more Giants were in short sleeves. BRRR!

10. Rule is somewhat like this:

If, in the process of making a catch, the receiver is falling down, he must maintain control of the ball all the way to the ground. In that case, the ball squirted out as he hit the ground, so it was no catch. Sweet try though. He had such a monster game otherwise, it can probably be overlooked!

12. I Was There & Had Bad Vibes Before The Game

when I found out we had the same crew as the Pack/Washington game, where the Skins were given to TDs, and the official apologized after the game, probably just to rub it in our faces & get away with it. Apologies are overrated.
The Giants played a great game though, and are the better team. Also, their fans were great. There was a guy on the bus I took to the game, who drove 1200 miles from New York to his first Packer game (He was a Packer fan)I hope they beat the Cheatriots. Go Giants!
