In the real world if you LIE about anything (be it age, marital status, experience) etc on your resume, thats grounds for firing.

now he waits until he's too old to sign another long term deal and informs his employers that he lied to them about his age, not just at 19, but at 31? it's just as damaging later as before. if you figure the average player of Tejada's skill plays to be 35, then a 30 year old player has five good to decent years left, while a 32 year old player has three good to decent years left. which one do you sign to a five year, guaranteed contract?
