...I really thought we'd be going back to Fenway down 2, and then just hoping to take one game and not get swept. I thought it was the Angels' year...it ain't over, and as a Red Sox fan I know not to celebrate until it REALLY is over, but I can't help but be happy, but mainly stunned!

|
for the Angels, including 8 straight, something like 30 more runs, and about 3-4 point lower overall era during the season in their series.

I picked the Angels to win. I really thought they'd beat us this time, and I know they still may, but like you I'm in a state of shock over these first two ballgames.

I have tickets for the ALCS game at Fenway for the 13th. Wasn't sure there'd be a game but the odds are improving.

The Red Sox haven't controlled anything for even close to 15 years. Jeez!
I'm very curious as to how old you are. Many of us Sox fans have lived through more disappointing seasons than most younger fans have even lived. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, as I think, Nietzsche said. It's that way with the Cubs fans, too. I understand their pain and the "wait til next year" feelings. Oh, I thought you were a Cubs fan for the NLDS?

At least the Bruins haven't won in 36 years. The last time they did I was 5 and I'm now almost 41. So, it's not all awesome here. x(
So next time you think of Boston, think of my misery as a Bruins fan and you should feel better. ;)

You'd think someone like yourself, who has at the very least 50 "favorite" teams, would would be less sensitive in the sports forum where crying is not allowed.
However, the only thing you can think of doing is call me a troll (:eyes:) and take your ball and go home.

|
to always winning it! I still like them and they are one of my top choices this year.
I like the Cubs, but when Lou Piniella was in Seattle, he lost me forever when a woman reporter asked him about the pitch count, and he very snidely said, "What do YOU know about the pitch count, young lady?" You could have heard a pin drop in the room after that. I still dislike Lou Piniella, and I think he's made it abundantly clear ever since that he himself knows nothing about the pitch count - there isn't a pitcher's arm in the league he wouldn't burn out if he got the chance! It's very hard for me to root for a Piniella team.
