I'm very curious as to how old you are. Many of us Sox fans have lived through more disappointing seasons than most younger fans have even lived. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, as I think, Nietzsche said. It's that way with the Cubs fans, too. I understand their pain and the "wait til next year" feelings. 33. It is a little funny how the Red Sox went from never winning it

to always winning it! I still like them and they are one of my top choices this year.

I like the Cubs, but when Lou Piniella was in Seattle, he lost me forever when a woman reporter asked him about the pitch count, and he very snidely said, "What do YOU know about the pitch count, young lady?" You could have heard a pin drop in the room after that. I still dislike Lou Piniella, and I think he's made it abundantly clear ever since that he himself knows nothing about the pitch count - there isn't a pitcher's arm in the league he wouldn't burn out if he got the chance! It's very hard for me to root for a Piniella team.
