...I can see it coming. Boras is asking way too much, and the Sox won't pay, and probably shouldn't. I think Jason wants 2-3 years, mainly to break someone new in, and Boras, being the scourge of baseball that he is, only will try to get teams to overpay. I can't see any team paying $52 million for 4 years for a player whose best, nay, even his medicore days are behind him. It's too bad. If someone does, they won't be better for having taken him, and the Sox will be worse off. He should simply be coaching someone new starting next season, and I think the Sox would pay him decently for that, and if Jason had an agent who had a human heart, he'd be looking out for that kind of deal as well.
