Asking them to repeat last year's miracle in an improved (if ever so slightly) NFC West might be too much to handle, on top of the bulls-eye placed on their backs as defending NFC champs.

how can the Giants ever be considered a disappointment when nobody is picking them to win and the Sporting News is picking them to finish last?
If the Giants are going to be anything...it will be as a surprise.
Meanwhile history is creeping up fast on the minor league Pirates....17 in a row coming right up.

It might take 95 wins to get to the playoffs out of the AL East, and I'm not sure the Sox have it if/when Big Papi starts to fade.
