Of a sort.

Last year, we went to Opera Colorado's production of "The Barber of Seville". We hated the production -- one of the modern updated ones, with endless annoying stage business added. We wrote an angry letter to Opera Colorado, got a snarky, dismissive one back. I added it all to our Web site here: http://www.dvorkin.com/essays/barber/index.htm

And now, in the Denver Post, in an article about another mangled Opera Colorado updating of a classic opera ("Rigoletto", in this case), we see ourselves and our Web site quoted as examples of those who can't accept such updating: http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~28704~2827069,00.html

I learned about this reference to us when I got an e-mail enthusiastically agreeing with our opinion. So there are still sensible opera lovers left in Denver!
