| So, who's writing their novel this November? |
|
I'm giving it a shot, just to see what the hell happens. http://www.nanowrimo.org

| 1. I doubt that I will ever write a novel, my dear Rabrrrrrr....... |
|
I am working on something.....not sure yet what to call it...
Right now it's just fragments without a core.....I need to give it some serious thought.
Good luck to you!

and while your grammar and syntax seem quite good, erotica is not really my thing, so I can't offer any helpful judgment or comment on it.
Sorry! Not that it's bad, I have no idea. It's just a genre that's so far off my radar that I can't offer anything helpful.

Sorry, I just don't "get" erotica. I even bought the book "Slow Hand" thinking, "Hey, it's women writing erotica, this should be great!" and, have to say, I couldn't tolerate it after the first couple stories and haven't opened it since.
I find porn writing more interesting, and even so, I still don't particularly care for it.
I'm just not the person to ask for a critique of erotica; it would be like Anne Coulter asking Al Franken to critique her book before publishing.

If it's not your cup of tea, then it's just not.......
Now, if you liked erotic stuff, and thought mine stank.....
NOW, that would be different......
You've just given me an idea for a thread!
And for that, I thank you!

Actually, it's been more than a decade in the works but I took some time off to get a college degree and raise a family.
Been working on it pretty steadily since January 1 when I set a goal to have it done by July 1. Well, home remodelling projects, the high school graudation of my oldest and a hectic summer means I'm still working toward a finished first draft, but I'm satisfied with my progress and see light at the end of the tunnel. I became part of a 4-person writing group last December and have been working with them to revise the completed chapters since. They've kept me motivated and as focused as I can be, which helps battle the doldrums of writer's block.
Unfortunately, our blood-sucking economy combined with two kids in college may force me back to reality and a more regular paying job. The novel will have to go back on the shelf again if that happens.
Good luck on your project. I hope you have a more timely success than I have. :toast:

Mine is fanfiction so it won't see the light of day, but I'm doing it just to see if I can. I've thought about participating for the last few years, but this year I've actually mustered up the courage. :)
I've written a novel (never published), just never in this short amount of time.

I've got four client projects with deadlines of the 21st... Mr. CornField is running away on a business trip the 14th... and we are going out of state for Thanksgiving... I'm already a week behind in course work.
*sigh* I'm feeling a bit like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football.

so far she's hitting her goal everyday.
She's actually adapting a screenplay we wrote together into a novel. it seems more and more that when a movie about women gets made it's either based on a real life story, or based on a very popular novel.
So I can't wait to read what she does with it.

December goal and I won't be making that! I've got 38K plus words and I figure I'm about halfway through. It's great therapy. Too bad life gets in the way, I'd probably be farther along.

Was just saying over in the lounge I've got about 6,500, and I'm not feeling *too* confident about the quality, but if I don't finish this book this month I'll never finish it.
I really need to be able to say I finished a book. Or how else will I impress my sweet baby Shah Rukh Khan? :silly:

|
Been putting a lot of hours in on mine for over a year and still don't have a finished first draft. Though to be fair, at the same time I'm working on a first draft, I'm also polishing a second draft through a writer's group. Hopefully by the time I finish the first draft (soon) I'll be well on my way to having a publishable work.
