Through an organization known as "Knights Out," a growing number of West Point alumni are advocating on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender homosexual soldiers and their right to "openly serve their country."
Current military policy forbids homosexual or bisexual service members from disclosing their sexual orientation or engaging in homosexual acts. It also prohibits military superiors from initiating investigations into soldiers' sexuality.
