The 'phobes are also whining that the legislative process was unfair because the dems pushed it through in a hurry. What a bunch of lying whiners. And Benson says it wasn't a resounding victory because the House barely managed to override. Yeah, 2/3 of the House voting to override a governor's veto is barely squeaking by. Pathetic.

Craig Bensen, a gay marriage opponent who had lobbied unsuccessfully for a nonbinding referendum on the question, listened to the voting from outside the chamber. He said he and his fellow opponents were massively outspent in their lobbying effort.

If you need 100 out of 150 votes and you 'only' get 100 votes, that is squeaking by. Never mind that the 100 votes constituted 67% of possible votes, a number nearly impossible to achieve on anything.
