I remember the Anita Bryant inspired boycott of orange juice, and the Coors boycott. Both successful

| 3. I agree with the boycott, but BUYING Jamaican products and dumping them into the sewer doesn't |
|
really hurt their bottom line. It's like the RW buying up cases and cases of French wine a few years ago and then dumping it down the toilet, which was unbelievably stupid of them. The French didn't really mind, because they received the money for their goods, and all that wine went to waste after having been paid for.

| 6. It's a bar, I'm sure those bottles were aready bought. It makes sense for a bar to dump what they |
|
have instead of serving it. They put it to good use making a point by dumping it and they also refuse to sell it to anyone else.

I am not promoting stealing or vandalism. But there was a time I would have notified bars, and liquor stores of the problem. Then, if things did not change, I would boost the bottles, deface store fronts, and smash windows. To be honest, I would cheer any Gay person who stole the booze or defaced establishments that refused to stop selling the vile swill.
We have many members who become angry when gays fight for our rights. What is frightening is that now these members have become more bigoted and vociferous when we post about Obama's refusal to grant us FULL Equal-Rights.
Don't forget, GBLT people are not the counter-revolutionaries. The counter-revolutionaries are the Clerics, Reps, Members of DU, Dems, and the President I voted for who thinks I am not worth having the same rights he has. Obama has his head up his ass when it comes to GBLT issues. Shame on Obama. And let us not forget Clinton's signing of DOMA. Many here will bullshit you into believing Clinton did that for our own good. As if those bigots could ever GRASP what is good for us.
And the morans(sic) of DU will retort with stunningly idiotic defenses: 1) Do you think you would be better with a Republican? 2) These things take time? 3) Just STF with your poutrage.
My Aunt is for gay marriage and she is republican. She makes many of our members sound like, what they are, bigots in Democratic clothing.

Even my insane Born again Southern Baptist, Republican sister is for gay marriage. These timid Dems are part of the problem, not the solution.

| 14. I think it would be instructive to have a thread in which those DUers who are against equal marriage |
|
can identify themselves once and for all. Then we can know whom to put on "Ignore".

"It's time to wait"; "it's politics not the time" or "How dare you question Obama's fierce advocacy" "There are more important things to worry about" and more
