| 1. Well, Obama did call for passage of the hate crimes bill. |
|
OTOH, he slapped us around with Rick Warren and postponed action on DADT. So far, it's kind of a wash.

| 2. I think on GLBT issues he gets a "C" |
|

and that's after his statement on the hate crimes bill.
GOOD: Statement on hate crimes bill Change in position on UN GLBT human rights resolution
BAD: Warren Pushing back reversal of DADT to some indeterminate future date (if at all) Bullshit statement on Iowa decision No statement on Vermont legislation No mention at all of DOMA

| 3. So 2 mediocre + 5 very bad = C? |
|
Crimeny, I've never seen such grade inflation. Less than 50% = F, without question.

But you're right, even a "C" is too generous.

I think Obama is doing a great job. Given that he inherited two wars, an international community that hated the Bush administration, and an economy in a death spiral, what would you have had him do?
A number of actions Obama has taken in his first 100 days, may not be LGBT specific, but as Americans they have positive consequences for all of us. Stabilizing the economy and passing the stimulus bills chief among them. We have a remarkable string of victories lately. Right now, for me, it's enough to not have the White House actively campaigning against our rights, as it had for the last 8 years.

| 9. Considering that the OP asked for the GLBT scorecard... |
|
I believe the question is how he has scored on issues pertinent to the GLBT community, not on the whole.

Just too busy for human beings who are gay, right?
