Baltimore lesbian couple found dead

(Baltimore) A lesbian couple was found dead in their apartment on Wednesday reports the Baltimore Sun. A daughter and niece of an upstairs neighbor were able to open the front door of the apartment and find the couple face-down on their bed.

Several clues indicate foul play, including an open front window and a side window leading to the basement that appeared to have been forced open. The neighbors investigated the apartment to find the source of an “odor that grew so strong that people living next door lit scented candles.”

The slayings occurred just days before the couple had plans of moving out and after they had gotten into an argument with a stripper they had taken in and later evicted.

“They were just planning on moving, they said they didn’t want to be in Baltimore,” said property manager Miki Scholtes. “They told us they were going to be out of that place by the end of this week.”

3. It happens - a coworker was just found after two weeks of trying to contact him

he passed away watching TV in his apartment my friend and boss found him. It took two weeks because of past history of him not answer calls. Its incredibly sad - but it does happen.

His parent are coming today - a whole month after he died - a whole two weeks after they found out. Im so seething mad at his family I could scream.

We have a massive family spread across the world and we have a sort of telephone tree thing going on. NO ONE gets an IOTA of privacy, and there's just no arguing it. Even when I lived in parts of the world where there was no phone service, the letter twice a week was mandatory and I wouldn't ever think about not checking in--it's ingrained in us, and a family imperative.

There's just no opportunity for anyone in my family to slip away. They know it, too, and they know they'll be HOUNDED and tracked down, so it's easier to just give up the brief update and touch base regularly. Most of our family talks to at least one other member every other day, if not every day. A bit cloying, but if anything was amiss, we'd know early on.

I hope they find who did this--what a heinous crime, to kill two people. One is sometimes a crime of passion, two is more like a crime of greed or hatred. Or both.

So it looks like they took in someone who needed a place to stay, trying to help, and ended up paying the ultimate cost when that person was violently unstable?

I've been homeless, and I'm very thankful to the people who took me in. Ever since then I've always had an open door policy and I've often taken people in, sometimes for short periods, and sometimes for long periods. My only condition was that they were people I already knew, or people vouched for by someone I knew well. But I've always been away that taking someone in can be risky.

You never know what problems someone brings with them. If someone brings a lot of stressful problems with them then they bring their stressful reactions to the problems with them. If they have any addictions, then those come with them too. If they have psychological issues you may not find out about them until they've moved in.

If this really was a situation of someone they tried to help turning on them then it's all the more tragic. :(
