Gay-rights struggles affect kids

The queens get all the attention. The politicians grab all the headlines.

But in the battle for gay rights, the children of lesbian, gay and transgender parents often pay the price.

It could be small, like having only one parent legally able to sign a permission slip. Or big, like the risk of foster home should something happen to their biological parent. Or personal, like rejection from an uncle or grandfather.

Wont this ever end? IN the 70s, my 6 yr old daughter went with one of her friends to an open house of the catholic school that the friend attended...and before she left...one of the teachers told her that her mother (me) was going to go to hell because she was divorced...my daughter was very upset, very scared..i mean..a six year old. Hearing this just reminds me of that..it is no different. leave the kids alone..geeeezzzz

and gave her so much wrath that she wouldn't dare EVER open her blasphemous satanic mouth again. These people do not care about children - they use and abuse them as if they are personal servants. It is no mistake that Phelps and his ilk drag around young children holding signs about God hating "fags".

I'm sorry, but...this is nothing against lay Catholics, but frankly,I'm sick of the abuse from a church that was complicit in covering up a massive pedophile scandal for over 50 years. Cult of evil.

Is one reason why a friend of mine and her husband are seriously considering cutting off all contact with his parents: Grandma's the sort who would tell a four-year-old that she's going to hell because her mommy and daddy don't love her enough to take her to church.
