The kid wasn't a mystery, he wasn't even sad

You ain't a mystery, kid, you ain't even sad. You're only so much fodder for the cycle. You're somebody's baby, all right, but you can fairly be dismissed as a scumbag by talk show shouters. Some people might argue you're a symptom of an alienated, disenfranchised generation of working-class kids raised on bad music and aggressive ignorance, but I don't think it has anything to do with the music or the neighborhood you lived in.
There's nothing mysterious about being afraid of people who are very different from you, especially if you suspect deep in your heart that maybe they're not different at all. That's why they call it homophobia.
It's a disease that attacks the fearful and the weak. People who can't imagine a free world guided by the individual's conscience (their own hearts speak so faintly) are bound to hate those with the courage to pursue alternative forms of happiness. No one is so safe as the fascist in his state.

So what's it like?
You're not answering, you anonymous buzz. You cosmic blip. You terrible, terrible waste.
