I was reading about Ted Haggard and the as-yet-unproven story he had a relationship with a gay hustler. Unless Haggard confesses, I will want to see the "blue dress" before I believe it on general principle. But I was stopped dead by this sentence in the Denver Post:

"The former prostitute, Mike Jones, 49, of Denver, went public with the accusations on Tuesday, saying he felt compelled to do so because he believes Haggard, a strong opponent of same-sex unions, has been hypocritical."

Are there such things as 49 year old gay male honest-to-goodness sex-for-pay hustlers? This is merely the effort of a Kansas gay boy trying to further his education.

Because they don't operate as an escort service or deserve to get trashed. Having said that, let me assure you that there are 49 year old men out there who have amazingly youthful bodies, and sometimes faces to match.

As for why someone would hire a 49 year old prostitute, my guess would be that it's comfortable for older men to have someone who is nearer their age, not going to make them feel like a giant wrinkle, and who might actually have something in common to talk about.

Shoot, half the people cruising for sex on the web are taking in each other's wash.

There's no accounting for who or what people are attracted to. In this youth obsessed culture of ours, especially if you're gay, 35 is ancient. But, I have a feeling there's a fire somewhere, cause if it was all smoke, why resign? The good preacher will go into hiding so as not to hurt the GOP, until after the elections.

is probably the most gorgeous man I've ever laid eyes on. I always assumed he was younger than me, so it came as quite a surprise when the office celebrated his 60th birthday. Gorgeous full head of salt & pepper hair; 6ft. 4in tall, and in better shape than some guys half his age.

I'm telling you, there are plenty of hotties out there who are 50 and above. As Judge Judy said, "50" is the new "30"; of course she was talking about women. I attended my 30 yr. high school reunion last year so I can tell you from first hand knowledge, there are plenty of older men who have taken excellent care of themselves.

Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything :eyes: but there really are gay men who like guys in their 40s and 50s. Women aren't the only ones attracted to good looking older men, and there are plenty of older men who would rather be with someone their own age (or who is younger than them, but not as young as the typical 20-something.) Many of the older men-for-hire work as "escorts" and will frequently provide companionship as well as sex, so having life experience as a good conversationalist is just as important as the physical attributes.

If you look around, you will find that there are also a great many older women with the same line of work. They rarely make porn or otherwise show up in the media, but they do exist, and for the same reasons.

Living well and taking care of one's self and physique, plus a dash of lucky genes and there are some handsome hardbody hotties out there.

Plus the young'uns are HIGH MAINTENANCE and HIGH DRAMA. I'm guessing our beloved pastor Hypocrite McCloset wanted his date to pitch at those games; something young'uns aren't typically known for.

Plus after a significant while if they still look like they're in their thirties, you might want to keep them away from open flames, microwaves, sudden jarring, or in my case out of sunlight or churches. Wouldn't want eternally youthful daddy to pop apart or melt or dissolve into a pile of dust.
