And I must say I'm touched. It's heart breaking at times, and it really gives a non-biased look (IMO) at all sides of the issue. I pity his mother. She obviously loves her son, but has been so badly brainwashed that she's acting irrationally. I can almost see hope in the woman, but I do believe she loves her son despite her actions. And despite what I'd normally do, calling her a bad parent, I can't blame her: I blame the Church and Society.
This quote had me laughing out loud:
"After the Christmas break, Brent puts up posters around school announcing the first meeting. "Come to the meeting, be straight but not narrow," one sign reads. Some of the posters are ripped down or defaced, including one with the word "fagget," to which Brent adds: "Love prevails over ignorance. Learn how to spell. Thank you."
