He tells hardly anything about himself. He says porn seduced him but he's "free". Certainly nothing about now being attracted to women. Mostly just Bible thumping.

I'd hazard a guess he's abstaining (or trying to) to avoid Hell, and that he's kidding himself.

I heard this on YouTube a year ago and think it is a good test to find out if the ex-gay phenomenon is real. It should not be difficult to meet the five criteria if it is truly true....we're waiting, folks!

I prayed so hard for him to cure me. I am happily out now and an atheist. I recently watched the video "Abomination" about the ex-gay movement. Someone did a study of participants in ex-gay programs and found only 17% considered the programs a success. However, most of the "successes" are either still struggling with homosexual feelings or have decided to be celibate. 4% consider themselves cured (heterosexual) but most of them work for the ex-gay movement.

I'd have more respect for some of these "ex gays" if they would be honest. And say something like..."I'm a homosexual,Bisexual,etc. but because of my beliefs I'm going to not act on it"...Because in the end, that all they're doing..there are no ex gays....just people who have let other people make thier life choices for them.
