That way I'm not surprised the next time something homophobic comes up.

In the thread many don't support the notion of "marriage" at all.
Of those folks there are those that wholeheartedly support "civil unions" between any couple who desire it regardless of gender.
Personally, whatever folks want doesn't hurt me...call it what you want and tag religion in it or take it out...

It's not none of my bussiness. My cousin he's gay and I am happy who he is and whoever he want to be with. My two friends are lovers and yes they are both BI and one of them had a child. But what happens in their lives is none of my bussiness. They don't tell me what to do with my love life so why would I want to tell them what to do with their love life.

The point is that we are not allowed to marry. This is the reason for the fight for marriage equality. This is not a country where one can, in good conscience be neutral. It's rather something like a non-Jew being neutral in Nazi Germany. It is this "neutrality" that partly cost us this election with Prop 8.

Seems that poll has revealed some particularly nasty attitudes close to the bottom of the thread. I won't link them, because of the rules.
There is only one good thing that comes from those who are coming out into the open as haters of the GLBT community. While they are revealing themselves right now, I can update the hell out of my ignore list in case they don't get TSed.

It's their right if they so choose to be against it.
However that does not give them the right to decide what is best for ME.
Unless of course we pass an amendment that allows that, too.
