1. What worries me even more...

...is the US government classifying previously public information. There is a ton of information in government documents that is being shoved down the memory hole.

2. That's definitely on the radar
In Libraryland as well. There have been various advocacy efforts and letter-writing campaigns about what's happening at the National Archives and with the National Security Archive at George Washington University.
