I stumbled across this today. Have any of you heard about it?

Whatever you might think of a family keeping a tortoise, it is horrific that the tortoise was abducted and abused, and the family is to be commended for vigorously prosecuting the case.

Apparently in retaliation for the arrest of the psycho who tried to kill Bob, somebody (fatally) poisoned their family dog within the last week.
