| Any advice for finding a lost snake companion? |
|
Our snake, Gracie May, is a cornsnake. She's about one year old and as much a part of the family as my husband is.
Yesterday, I was going to feed her and I found that she was gone. The lid was screwed down, there were no holes in the tank... I'm baffled. It's like she got out through osmosis.
She only escaped once before, when we first had her. I found her curled up in a shoe later that day.
She's a big girl now, but we do have cats and I'm very worried about her.
I searched all over. I found something called a "snake trap" online that you can make out of a 2 liter bottle. I set that up. Is there anything else I can do? I have no idea where to put the cats since she could be in any room in the house. Even the rooms I searched, Im not sure she isn't curled up inside of something.

| 1. Have you checked your closets? |
|
At one time I had two boa constrictors. When they would get loose, they would into the closet and climb onto the upper shelves.

| 2. Update: I found her, safe and sound! |
|
Sort of a late update, but I did find Gracie May curled up under a shelf. I picked her up and she was a little out of it, being cold and all. I put her back on her heating pad and she's feeling good again, back to her charming self.
Thanks for the tip :)
