| My vegetarian sausage balls are a hit!...... |
|
...I made a batch of my faux sausage balls this weekend, and gave some to Mrs Robeson so she could take them to work. She said everyone loved them, and kept saying how much they tasted like...sausage balls!
Gee, all the good fun, without the dead carcass. Who'd of thunk!! :D

...combine 1 tube of Gimme Lean Sausage style, with 8 ounces of shredded soy cheddar flavored cheese, and 2 cups of an all purpose baking mix. Add about a 1/4 cup of soy milk, and flavor to your liking with ground pepper, and red pepper flakes. I like to add a little hot sauce for more spiciness. Any way, combine all this in a bowl and work it with your hands until it's mixed real well into a big ball.
Preheat the oven to 450 F. Then just pinch off enough of the mixture, to roll into balls about the diameter of a quarter. Arrange them on a baking pan, and bake for about 12 to 13 minutes. Keep an eye on them since oven temps vary. Anyway, they're a great snack. Enjoy!
