| 1. I like that they've opened this up to anyone "with a story" |
|
or a topic upon which they have expertise. Granted, it might be a nightmare for a handful of folks that have never done this before.
Both Matt Ball and Paul Shapiro (post COK days) are good to hear speak. Very inspirational.
I'll think about it. Been a few years since I've done this. Thanks for the heads up.
In the meantime, I'll be happy to promote it to the few folks I know in that area.

| 2. Are you going? Definitely go listen to whatever Colleen has to say, she's awesome. |
|
Much as I love Minneapolis (and I totally do!) I'm already registered for AR'08 in DC and I don't know that my pocketbook can really handle both.
Anybody else going to DC?

| 3. Actually, I know about this because organizer Dave Rolsky |
|
is a familiar and well-respected in the Perl programming community, which I am part of.

| 4. There are a bunch of friendly DUers in Minneapolis |
|
Maybe we can have a gathering. There's a good centrally located vegetarian/vegan Indian restaurant a brief bus ride from downtown.
