| What VPN *server* software is there for OS X? |
|
I want/need to run a VPN server on my Mac but I don't have a clue as to what's available. I'd prefer to get one that's compatible with the PPTP protocol, but I've had no luck finding anything. I did fine the open-source OpenVPN, but it uses it's own OpenVPN protocol, which means I need to run their OpenVPN client on all the machines that connect to the server (which is doable, but I'd rather not). Anyone know of any potential solutions?

| 2. I was thinking about getting OS X Server |

But it's a little out of my price range at the moment. Anyway I'd rather get an Xserve which comes with the server software bundled with it, but that's a future purchase. Really, the only reason I want VPN is so that I can play World of Warcraft through the corporate firewall at work. The cheaper VPN solutions are definitely preferable.

I don't know where you have searched. http://osx.hyperjeff.net/Apps/apps.php?ft=0&f=vpnhttp://www.macupdate.com/search.php?keywords=vpn&os=all&button.x=15&button.y=12I noticed that there is a GUI for OpenVPN. Type in VPN at this site http://www.versiontracker.com/I have a paid account there so my links may not work for you.
