I live out in the sticks, but they finally have DSL here. After all these years of dail-up, I won't know how to act.
Any tips or recommendations from DSL users would be appreciated. I will be using Earthlink on my old iMac 350 with OS 9.1 and Mozilla browser.
Thanks,
Elwood  :toast: :bounce:

my Verizon DSL email connection was screwed and no email could get through to my desktop Mail program from ANY email service, including Gmail. (The internet connection in general was still OK.) I called Verizon and the Mac tech guy said I was the third or fourth person who had told him about the same problem - there's an incompatibility that happens with that security update. You can no longer use Safari to log into your Verizon account - I have to use Explorer. And the Mail program no longer functions to bring email in from any account.
I'm running an iMac G5 with system 10.3.9. I bought Tiger but am afraid to install it until I can talk to someone at APple on Monday. At least I can go online and sort of deal with my email that way.
DSL is WONDERFUL. You'll wonder how you lived without it.
