are there any widgets for panther? or do I have to have dashboard?

I want to add a couple of widgets but was wondering if I could do that without upgrading just yet to use dashboard.

I want widgets now!

1. dashboard as far as i know.

im sure you could find some little programs that are similar but it wouldnt be dashboard

If you want widgets, you will need to get Tiger. It is an excellent upgrade.

4. You know, it is a great upgrade! I too was hesitant

and was planning to skip Tiger. But faster booting, searchlight, widgets and what seems like generally more snappy user interface is worth it. . .I kid you not, it made my computer seem faster.
